While the number of events and festivals around the country may be dying down as the days shorten, there is still plenty to look forward to this fall. Here are some of OROGOLD’s top picks of the UK’s fall events that are definitely not to be missed.

OktoberFest, London.

OktoberFest, London
OktoberFest is held annually in Germany, and is the largest beer/funfair festival in the world. While nothing can beat the 16 days of festivities held in Bavaria, those of you in London can enjoy four Bavarian-filled days with London’s very own OktoberFest. Held in the wooden halls of Tobacco Dock, you can expect to enjoy live music, some of the most authentic German food that you will find outside of Germany, fun-filled games, and, of course, plenty of German beer. Apart from the main OktoberFest at Tobacco Dock, you will also find many other bars and restaurants around the city serving up some great OktoberFest-inspired offers.

Melton Mowbray Food Festival, Leicestershire
Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, also known as the Rural Capital of Food in the UK, will be hosting its 12th Food Festival this year. The festival has become increasingly popular in recent years, and is now one of the biggest regional food festivals in the entire country. Of course, the Melton Mowbray pork pies and the Stilton cheese are not to be missed, but be sure to save room for all of the other delicious foods on offer. There will be more than 150 of the best of the UK’s food producers showcasing their finest products, from artisan cheeses to local craft beers to British game, as well as a variety of hot meals to keep you warm in case the weather turns cold. There will also be celebrity chefs hosting cooking demonstrations, as well as an area for children, to teach them about food in a fun way, while keeping them entertained at the same time! There is plenty of accommodation nearby, so it is easy to make a whole weekend of it if you have the time!

Bonfire Processions, Sussex

Bonfire Processions, Sussex
The Sussex Bonfire Societies were formed in the 19th Century, and, throughout the months of September, October and November, hold various bonfire events around the county. Each week, different towns and villages take turns to celebrate and host their own event, with festivities kicking off on the weekend of the 4th of October. From marching bands, fireworks displays, beach bonfires, traditional fancy dress and themed parties, Sussex is definitely the place to be each weekend this fall. While many of the events are family oriented, some may not be suitable for young children, so OROGOLD would advise that you check online beforehand.

Whether you are enjoying them with your friends, family or on your own, these UK events that OROGOLD has put together are some of the best this autumn. Although you may receive a small discount if you book your event tickets online, you will also be able to buy tickets for each of these events at the door on the day.
